The DiReSoM Association is proud to announce that DiReSoM Member Giuseppina Scala has been officially accredited as an expert in Law and Religion to access the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Villages.
For DiReSoM, the Olympic Games represent more than a global sporting event; they are a complex legal and social laboratory. The Olympic Villages function as “temporary international infrastructures”—spaces where the management of fundamental rights, including religious freedom, faces unique logistical and regulatory challenges.
Through Dr. Scala’s presence on the ground, our Association aims to deepen the scientific understanding of how spiritual needs are integrated into large-scale international projects. This research aligns perfectly with DiReSoM’s commitment to analyzing the evolution of religious pluralism in the public sphere.
