What possible ‘cure’ for a world in conflict? This interdisciplinary conference, hosted by the University Institute don Giorgio Pratesi in Soverato (Italy) and supported by the DiReSoM Association, will explore potential solutions to global conflict. Distinguished scholars, including Professors Pierluigi Consorti, Coordinator of DiReSoM, and Luigi Mariano Guzzo, will contribute to the discussion.

Synodality as a Path to Pacification within the Ecclesiastical Order

The DiReSoM Association is partnering with the project for innovation in teaching Law, Conflicts, and Pacification: Pathways to Peace for the Contemporary Jurist. In collaboration with the National Doctorate in Religious Studies (DREST), the association is contributing to the seminar series entitled Synodality as a Path to Pacification within the Ecclesiastical Order,” integrated into the Canon Law course taught by Prof. Luigi Mariano Guzzo.

DiReSoM panel at the 7th ICLARS Conference

DiReSoM will hold a panel at the 7th ICLARS Conference at the University of Notre Dame (USA), on religious rules and emergency in a European and global perspective.
The panel is part of the activities of the PRIN project “Religion and Emergency Rules”, coordinated by Prof. Pierluigi Consorti, Full Professor of Law and Religion at the University of Pisa.

 

DiReSoM PRIN Conference “The Impact of Emergency Rules on Religious Freedom, with Special Regard to Religious Minorities

DiReSoM is glad to announce, as part of the PRIN “Religion and Emergency Rules”, which involves the collaboration of research units between the universities of Pisa, Messina, Genoa and Ferrara, an important international conference regarding the impact of emergency rules, with specific regard to the religious minorities. This event will be held on 24 and 25 July at the Department of Law of the University of Messina.

We are pleased to announce that the DiReSoM research group is formally established as an Association. DiReSoM will continue to promote, carry out and coordinate research activities and dissemination of scientific results on law and religion and intercultural law.

DiReSoM for ICLARS 2022: “Human Dignity, Law, and Religious Diversity: Designing the Future of Inter-Cultural Societies”

Comunicato DiReSoM per la nomina del cardinale Zuppi a Presidente della Conferenza Episcopale Italiana

Il gruppo di ricerca “Diritto e Religione nelle Società Multiculturali” (DiReSoM) rivolge sincere congratulazioni al cardinale Matteo Zuppi, arcivescovo metropolita di Bologna, per la nomina a Presidente della Conferenza Episcopale Italiana.

Come docenti e ricercatori universitari impegnati in diversi atenei italiani nello studio della disciplina giuridica del fenomeno religioso, riteniamo che la Chiesa italiana abbia dato un segnale importante di rinnovamento scegliendo al proprio vertice proprio il cardinale che, nel pieno della pandemia da Coronavirus, aveva rivolto una preghiera laica alla Costituzione italiana, riconoscendo, in tal modo, valore unitivo, dal punto di vista spirituale oltre che civile, alla nostra Carta fondamentale.

Una Lettera che richiamava la necessità di ricostruire e ridefinire le nostre categorie sociali dopo il Coronavirus e che rappresentava una proposta importante, al punto da scegliere di pubblicare, come DiReSoM, gli esiti di dialogo tra il cardinale Zuppi e gli studenti e le studentesse dell’Università di Pisa, nell’Ebook, a cura di Pierluigi Consorti, “Lo spirito della Costituzione.
